However, in their research, Iranian scientists were able to detect the first signs of cancerous changes with precision using a nanosystem attached to a fluorescent probe.Dr. Mehdi Dadmehr, a member of the research team, said that the nanosensors will help diagnose cancer in its early stages through a fast, simple, and cost-effective method.

According to Dr. Dadmehr, the very low concentrations of DNA in the blood are one of the biggest challenges for researchers in detecting early signs and changes in cancer.

The conventional methods currently used worldwide are usually based on an increase in DNA concentration following initial treatment.

This system is extremely sensitive, capable of detecting DNA concentrations as low as 0.3 femtomolar. This is the highest detection rate compared to all other methods currently used worldwide.
