According to the official representative of the Ministry, Ms. Heather Nauert, "the construction of this bridge will certainly affect the supply of goods by sea, and thus people, Crimea and Ukraine." She added that the construction of the bridge not only "strengthens Russia's aggression and occupation of Crimea, but also affects maritime transport."
President Putin officially opened the motorway on the bridge over the Kerch Strait on May 15. The head of state drove a Kamaz from Krasnodar to Kerch in just over 15 minutes.
