Colombian diplomats walked across the border at San Antonio, accompanied by Venezuelan police.
On February 23, Venezuela severed diplomatic and political ties with Bogota. The Colombian government promised to withdraw its diplomats from Venezuela as soon as possible. Caracas gave its embassy staff 24 hours to leave the country.
Tensions in relations between the two countries arose due to the situation surrounding the provision of US humanitarian aid from Colombia to Venezuela.
