Cases where scores are reserved for graduation consideration in 2018
Candidates who took the 2017 exam but have not graduated, and have a score of 5 or higher in their exam or subject, will have their scores retained for recognition consideration in 2018.
On March 16, the Ministry of Education and Training issued guidelines for implementing regulations on national high school exams and recognition of high school graduation in 2018.
This guide clearly stipulates how to register and confirm reserved scores for graduation recognition for candidates who took the exam but did not graduate from high school in 2017 and were not disciplined to have their exam results canceled.

Candidates are allowed to reserve their scores for Math, Literature, and Foreign Language exams.Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and reserve exam scores of each component subject in the combined examof the 2017 national high school exam to consider recognizing high school graduation in 2018If the test or subject scores 5 points or more (on a 10-point scale).
In particular, candidates will only be allowed to retain their combined exam scores if their total score is 5 or higher and the scores of the component subjects in each exam are greater than 1.When registering to reserve the score of a combined exam, candidates must record the full score of all component subjects of that combined exam in the Exam Registration Form.
Reserved scores are confirmed by the local Department of Education and Training where the candidate took the 2017 National High School Exam.
Conditions for independent candidates to take the 2018 high school exam
Independent candidates taking the exam for high school graduation recognition can choose the location.Submit application for the exam at one of the registration points for independent candidates as prescribed by the Department of Education and Training. Candidates with academic records under a certain program must register for the exam according to the regulations of that program.
Independent candidates are excluded.Lost original high school transcript but still want to take the examIn 2018, the issued copy of the transcript must be re-confirmed, based on comparison with the records of the high school where the 12th grade was studied, or based on the exam records of previous exams.
For candidates who have graduated from secondary school but do not have a high school transcript orHigh school continuing education transcripts registered to take the exam to get admission results to university, college, intermediate school in teacher training group must study and be recognized to have completed high school cultural subjects according to regulations.
