How to soundproof a budget car

The first cause may be the noise of the tire hitting the road surface and resonating in the wheel cage. This can be overcome by using 3 layers of liquid rubber to sweep the entire underside of the vehicle chassis, especially in the four wheel cages.

After drying, the liquid rubber will create a soft rubber layer that adheres to the outside of the chassis frame, which has the effect of absorbing sound and preventing sound resonance in the wheel cage.

In the second case, the noise caused by the shock force transmitted from the wheel to the chassis causes the chassis and body to vibrate, causing resonance in the cabin. For low-end cars, the cabin is mainly made of hard plastic, so the sound insulation and anti-resonance ability is poor, especially the phenomenon of infrasonic resonance causing motion sickness and fatigue.

This cause is very difficult to overcome when the car is designed like that. If you want to handle it thoroughly, you have to "sacrifice" something to minimize the resonance of infrasound waves from the car's chassis. Users can refer to the following methods:

Method one:Lay water mats under the floor to eliminate sound waves transmitted from the chassis and body into the cabin from under the car floor, minimizing resonance in the car cabin.

Method two:Increase the weight of the roof from the inside or outside to change the car's natural resonant frequency (preferably with a soft material to eliminate sound waves such as silicone).

Method three:In the 70s of the last century, the Soviet Union invented a machine to cancel infrasound waves in the cabin by designing a sound generator with the same frequency as the noise in the cabin but in opposite phase to cancel out the infrasound waves. This required hiring an expert.
