It has been proven that waking up and quickly catching the early morning sunlight is a surprisingly effective way to lose weight.

According to a new scientific study from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, published in the journal PLOS ONE, getting some morning sunlight is a surprisingly simple way to lose weight but brings very positive results.

Researchers asked 54 participants, average age 30, to wear a wrist-mounted monitor and expose themselves to morning sunlight for seven consecutive days.

They also had the experimenters keep food diaries to record their calorie intake.

The results showed that people who absorbed more morning sunlight had lower BMIs than those who were less exposed to early morning sunlight, regardless of their age, activity level, job and daily diet.

Second reason: morning light is much stronger than afternoon or evening light.

According to researchers, that's because there's a large amount of blue light in the morning.

Blue light is the type that has the strongest effect on your circadian rhythm and is used to treat dark spots on the skin and support weight loss in beauty salons.

Each person just needs to get at least 20-30 minutes between 8am and noon for the sun to work its magic.
