As reported, fishing boat NA - 95102 - TS, operated by Mr. Pham Van Cuong, after the first fishing trip of the year, returned to Lach Quen fishing port to sell products. On the way back to Lach Thoi, Son Hai commune to attend the fishing ceremony, unfortunately had an accident due to hitting a reef in Cong Hoa village, Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu);

At 11:30 p.m. on February 27, the fishing boat in distress was successfully rescued and taken out of the danger zone.

To successfully rescue the ship from the reef, the rescue team had to mobilize many experienced fishermen, dozens of large barrels clamped to 3 ditches to form rafts to press against both sides of the boat; along with many buoys, foam boxes connected to the bow and stern of the ship, outside there were many ditches to avoid when pulling the ship out of the reef, then used ropes to hook the wrecked ship to the hull of 2 high-powered vehicles about 300m from the wreck location for rescue.

When the tide came, the ship in distress bounced up, and two outboard vehicles were tasked with pulling and pulling the ship out of the rocks. This method was repeated many times before the ship in distress was successfully rescued.

By 11:30 p.m. on February 27, the rescue work was completed. The ship was now quite badly damaged, with many large holes in the hold, large holes on both sides of the ship, signs of rust on the machinery due to being submerged in salt water, and the amount of oil on the ship was completely damaged.

It is expected that at noon on February 28, the damaged ship will be towed by two tugboats to Lach Quen port for inspection and repair.

It is known that the fishing boat that was in an accident had purchased hull insurance according to Decree 67. After the accident, Pijico Insurance Company came to make a record of the scene, independently assessed and inventoried the extent of damage based on the record. The Insurance will compensate the boat in an accident according to regulations.

Previously, fishing vessel NA-95102-TS had also been in an accident, during the exploitation at sea, some equipment on board was damaged, the ship owner reported to the insurance company and a report was made. However, before the insurance payment was paid, another accident occurred when the vessel collided with a reef.
