How to use black chicken to treat weakness and nourish the body
Black chicken (also known as black chicken, lead-legged chicken, five-clawed chicken) is rare and has high nutritional value. Oriental medicine often uses black chicken as a ingredient in many medicines with names such as black chicken, black chicken bone.
Characteristics of black chicken
Black chicken is a type of chicken with a short body, small beak, short neck, comb, green ears, slightly purple.
Black chickens do not have black feathers as many people think, but their entire body has white feathers. Apart from the wings, their entire body has velvety feathers, a small tuft of feathers growing out on their heads, and many short, small feathers from their mouths to the sides of their faces.
The black chicken got its name because its skin, meat, bones, and beak are all black. Although this type of chicken has short wings, the feathers on its wings are separated, so it can fly quite well.
Black chickens also have a very special feature: their legs have feathers and 5 claws, and the feathers on their feet are very thick and abundant.
According to Oriental medicine, black chicken has a sweet, salty taste, neutral properties, and enters the Liver and Kidney meridians. It has the effects of nourishing yin and reducing heat, replenishing the middle and stopping thirst, and nourishing the kidney and nourishing yin. Black chicken is often used to treat people with weakness, emaciation, heat in the bones, diabetes, spleen deficiency, and frequent loose stools; it is good for pregnant women, and it treats women with uterine bleeding and leucorrhea.
