How to increase power to make a car more powerful.
Currently, there are many different ways to help increase car power, so that the vehicle can operate more powerfully.
Upgrade the air intake system.
A car's power output is primarily generated by the amount of air and fuel in the engine. Many people believe that simply adding more fuel than the engine can handle will increase its power output, allowing the car to go faster.
However, this is incorrect. For naturally aspirated engines, the manufacturer only allows a certain amount of air to enter the combustion chamber. Once the standard air level is reached, the valve immediately closes tightly to prevent gas leakage.
Additionally, in some cases, overfilling the tank can result in excess fuel that cannot be fully utilized. This excess fuel will escape through the exhaust pipe. Conversely, underfilling will reduce the vehicle's power output.
Therefore, upgrading the air intake system is essential when increasing a car's power output.
Upgrade the exhaust system.

Upgrading and improving the exhaust system is also one of the effective methods to increase your car's power. When a car's exhaust system is developed and upgraded, its exhaust capacity will increase. This allows more exhaust gases to be expelled from the engine, creating more space and maximizing the engine's intake capacity.
If a car engine is upgraded with an improved exhaust system, it won't need to expend as much energy to push exhaust gases out. Car owners can choose between improving or upgrading the exhaust system with turbochargers or superchargers to increase horsepower.
Replace the air filter.
Replacing your car's air filter is the simplest and cheapest way to increase horsepower. Aftermarket air filters have a different structure than the filters that the manufacturer equips on the vehicle.
While standard air filters are usually made of paper, aftermarket air filters are made of oil-impregnated cotton fibers. This type of filter is more effective at removing dirt and dust, resulting in cleaner air. Cleaning intervals are extended to 20,000-30,000 km, compared to only about 5,000 km for paper filters. Their lifespan is also dozens of times longer than paper filters, which typically last only 10,000 km.
Specifically, aftermarket air filters allow for more airflow, increasing oxygen in the combustion chamber. According to car tuning experts, replacing the air filter with an aftermarket one can add 1-5 horsepower or more, depending on the vehicle.
Aftermarket air filters require no modifications; simply replace the old filter. This type of filter doesn't increase fuel consumption. On the contrary, it improves throttle response compared to conventional filters. At engine speeds below 2,000 rpm, the car runs very smoothly. And when you accelerate hard, pushing the engine speed higher, the engine sounds more powerful, not dry or strained like with a paper filter.
Air intake manifold
This is one of the most popular methods for increasing car power today. Accordingly, power can be increased by 5 to 30 horsepower.

During the modification process, the intake manifold is redesigned to utilize the air pressure generated when the vehicle is in motion to increase the static air pressure inside the intake manifold. This allows for a larger airflow into the combustion chamber, resulting in higher engine power.
Simply put, ram-air increases the diameter of the intake manifold to reduce the intake air velocity. As velocity decreases, dynamic pressure decreases while static pressure increases. Air carries oxygen, and oxygen is essential for combustion. The more oxygen intake, the richer the combustion mixture, resulting in a more powerful engine.
Install an additional NOS tank.
NOS cylinders are containers of N2O gas, a type of cylinder widely used by professional race car drivers. N2O is a colorless, non-flammable, non-toxic gas that is typically injected directly into the engine's intake to increase the amount of oxygen entering the engine. This, in turn, allows the engine to have more fuel.
Camshaft upgrade
The camshaft plays a crucial role in determining the opening and closing times of the intake and exhaust valves. Upgrading and improving the camshaft significantly contributes to maximizing the opening angle of the intake and exhaust valves, increasing the valve opening time to allow more fuel to enter the engine, thereby providing the engine with the appropriate amount of oxygen for speed regulation. A modified camshaft can increase your car's power by an average of 17-30 horsepower.
ECU upgrade
The ECU (Engine Control Unit) is responsible for coordinating all the internal systems of a vehicle's engine. This component is designed to deliver the most efficient and optimal performance while ensuring maximum safety. If a driver wants to upgrade the ECU, they should first consider upgrading all related features and functions.
