• The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has over 50 years of experience in training, scientific research, technology deployment, and student management. Its functions include training at the university, college, and vocational levels, and providing vocational training for university and college-level instructors. It teaches fundamental mechanical engineering theory to all mechanical engineering disciplines throughout the university. It conducts scientific research, technology deployment, and technical innovation initiatives applied to practical training and socio-economic development. It organizes internships and combines production with practical work to enhance students' skills. Currently, the faculty has 45 staff and teachers, all holding university degrees or higher, including 2 PhDs in Mechanical Engineering, 41 Master's degrees, 10 senior lecturers, and 2 staff members pursuing doctoral studies. To improve the quality of student training, in addition to classroom lectures and practical workshops at the school, the department also facilitates contact with external companies to provide students with practical experience and gradually improve their skills.

• The Department of Automotive Engineering is also one of the departments with extensive experience at the university. Currently, the department focuses on training 2 undergraduate programs (Automotive Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology), 2 technical college programs (Automotive Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology), and 5 vocational college programs (Automotive Engineering Technology, Mechanical Equipment Installation, Machine Tool Repair and Maintenance, Mechanical Equipment System Maintenance, and Water Supply and Drainage). In addition to full-time student classes, the department also conducts training programs in collaboration with units at external facilities. The department maintains close contact with businesses in the province regarding scholarships, awards, internship support, and recruitment. Every year, dozens of outstanding students are recommended by the department to work at vocational schools and businesses both domestically and internationally.

After graduation, the school will facilitate job placements for students at large corporations such as: Formosa Group in the Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ha Tinh), Foxconn Group, and the General Corporation for Machinery Installation... However, each student has a different career path. The important thing is that after years of studying at Vinh University of Technology and Education, they have acquired sufficient knowledge to open their own repair workshops in their hometowns.
