How to avoid heat when car has no air conditioning
When the car's air conditioner breaks down but the driver still has to continue the journey, the driver should apply the following quick, temporary ways to avoid the heat.
Hang a wet cloth between the cars:High air temperature will cause the water in the cloth to evaporate, helping to reduce the heat in the car.

Bring ice:Place a bucket of ice on the floor. As the air escapes from the vents below, the ice will lower the temperature of the air inside the car. At the same time, open the car windows. This way, the air circulating in and out of the car will be cooled by the cold water.
Use insulated window shades and seat covers:This method is quite effective and simple, drivers should apply it when necessary.
Portable air conditioner or 12 volt fan:A portable air conditioner or 12-volt fan can also circulate air and reduce the temperature inside the car.
Running in the shade:If driving on treeless highways and cool urban roads both lead to the same destination, then you'd better spend a little more time driving in the city.
Open car window:If it is working normally, you should turn on the air conditioner instead of opening the windows to save gas in the summer. However, when the air conditioner stops working, open the windows to allow air to circulate easily inside and outside the car. If it is too dusty and noisy, you should use a personal battery-powered fan and open the windows slightly. Even when stopping in a parking lot, you should still open half of the window to avoid "heating" the cabin.
Wear loose fitting clothes: If you are required to dress formally, bring clothes and change when you get close to your stop. Wearing light clothing will help the driver avoid doubling the heat from his own body.
