'Dong Nhi's way of dealing with fans lacks tact and sophistication'

Dong Nhi wrote: "I would like to confirm that FC Dong Nhi's YouTube channel has belonged to the company from the beginning, there is no robbery here. The company has never asked you to help build it, it's all voluntary! Why do you say otherwise now?"

The singer's long post caused controversy because of her harsh attitude. Specifically, Dong Nhi's statement "The company has never asked you to help build, everything is voluntary" was criticized for being sensitive and could hurt her fans.

Sharing with Vietnamnet, media expert Nguyen Ngoc Long said that Dong Nhi is under too much pressure when building her personal image.

While personal brand is a collection of other people's unique perceptions of us through appearance, values, talents and personality. Personal image is the perception you create in others by "pretending" to be a certain model that matches the desires and expectations of the crowd. In essence, personal image is like a product, "molded and carved" to suit a specific customer group. In this case, it is the relationship between artists and fans.

When doing art, most (I emphasize not all, but most) artists will have to create a personal image instead of a personal brand. They cannot be themselves, to please the audience, to please fans and admirers. A professional artist is an artist who has the ability to change, transform appearance, personality and talent according to the model that fans want. Everything will go smoothly until the artist cannot stand "pretending" to be a model according to expectations. At that time, this relationship breaks down. I completely sympathize with the pressure Dong Nhi is facing. But the way Dong Nhi and her team treat fans is tactless and not delicate.

It would be a pity if the artist had to stand in the middle of a dispute between the crew and the fans. They are all people who wholeheartedly support the artist's work. Therefore, the artist should be the bridge, clearing up misunderstandings or at least calling for understanding and sympathy between both sides for their own sake.
