What tires does the Cadillac carrying the US President use?
The tires on the "beast" carrying the head of the White House are run-on flat, puncture-proof and run stably at 80 km/h after exploding.
When it comes to presidential cars, everyone knows that it is definitely the safest car in the world. The US Secret Service has used Cadillac, a limousine, to transport President Obama since his inauguration in 2009.

The car carrying President Obama uses Goodyear tires. |
Nicknamed The Beast, the world's most bulletproof limousine is not only resistant to guns, grenades, explosions, but also to biological and chemical attacks. The car is 6.7 m long, weighs between 6,349 kg and 7,256 kg and has an estimated price of 3.4 million USD. The Cadillac One's body is made of 12.7 cm thick tank steel and includes Goodyear Regional RHS tires.
Regional RHS is a puncture-proof tire that allows the car to continue driving at 80 km/h after a blowout. According to Googyear, this tire is durable thanks to the use of DuPont Kevlar material to protect the tire from external impacts during operation. The Goodyear tires on the Cadillac One are heavy-duty tires, measuring 285/70 combined with 19.5-inch rims.
Developed at DuPont in 1965, Kevlar is five times stronger than steel but is also very flexible, so it is often used as a material to make bulletproof armor. Since 1970, Kevlar has been used in many different manufacturing fields, from tires to yacht racing, bulletproof armor because of its high strength-to-weight ratio and tensile strength, five times stronger than steel on a weight basis.
In the Vietnamese market, Goodyear distributes two tire product lines using Kevlar material, Assurance Duraplus (AD) and Assurance TripleMax (ATM). Currently, Vietnamese consumers have been enjoying such high-quality product standards through two very familiar tire lines, Goodyear Assurance TripleMax and Goodyear Assurance DuraPlus.
Assurance Duraplus (AD) uses Goodyear's exclusive TredLife technology with an improved tread compound and a Dupont Kevlar coating to reinforce the tire, allowing the vehicle to travel up to 100,000 km. TredLife technology increases tire life, maximizing the use of carbon components.
The Assurance TripleMax (ATM) tire line is developed with a focus on grip, improving safety, increasing tire life and saving fuel for vehicles. This tire uses Hydrogrip technology for a braking distance of less than 2 meters on wet roads. Hydrogrip technology maximizes slippery road grip thanks to an improved rubber compound. Maximum braking ability thanks to a tread structure with wide tread blocks to increase contact area.
On the other hand, Assurance TripleMax (ATM) tires maximize handling thanks to a wide tire surface that increases the rubber contact ratio with the road and steering control during braking. Durability reinforces the tire structure with DuPont Kevlar material.
