Tam Son fishing village consists of 7 households (nearly 30 people), living for many years on small boats on the banks of Lam River. The main source of income comes from fishing, the hard work, fish and shrimp are increasingly rare, so life is very difficult, often facing danger and uncertainty during the rainy and stormy season. The biggest dream of the households is to have a garden and a house, but all are out of reach. Luck has come to them when each household is cared for by the State and authorities at all levels, providing 400 m2land, 50 million VND support to build a house and 1 cow to develop livestock farming. Mr. Hoa shared: "When we were on the cramped boat, my family could only set up a small altar. Now that we are on land, we have a spacious house so we can prepare a proper altar and display many offerings. I burn incense to express this joy to my grandparents and ancestors." Photo: Cong Kien |
