Accordingly, on Vietnam Airlines flight VN255 on August 13 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, when the plane was about to land at Tan Son Nhat airport, passenger Mai Thanh Binh, sitting in business class seat 2H, could not find his iPhone 6 Plus and slapped the flight attendant on the left cheek.
According to the report to the Southern Airport Authority, this passenger said that after eating, he put his phone on the table and fell asleep. After waking up, he found that the phone was no longer on the table. He called three times and it still rang, but the phone was no longer available after the next calls. After that, he continued to call and the phone rang again. Because he suspected that the flight attendant had taken his phone without admitting it, this passenger slapped her in the face.
The flight attendant took note of the incident and said the passenger "will take full responsibility." About 20 minutes after the passenger left the plane, the phone was found under the VIP passenger's seat.
Regarding the above incident, on August 17, the Southern Airports Authority issued an administrative penalty decision with a fine of 15 million VND - the highest level in the fine range for the corresponding behavior against customer Mai Thanh Binh.
