According to Cam Ly, in the past her voice was low and dull. At that time, musician Minh Vy felt that she could not meet the audience's expectations so she limited her show acceptance. "It's not that my voice broke or my larynx was damaged. The audience saw that I couldn't sing so they thought my voice had a problem. The problem wasn't with my larynx but because I had sinusitis, my voice was dull and stuffy. If you pay close attention during my time as a judge, there was a period when my voice was very dull, it sounded like I had a severe stuffy nose," the singer added.

Regarding the audience's reaction during the period when her voice was affected, Cam Ly said "some people understood, but some people did not understand".
