(Baonghean.vn) - Despite being in her seventies, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Chatt, residing in Hamlet 8, Nam Anh Commune (Nam Dan District), still has to work hard to care for her ailing husband and two disabled children.

Mrs. Chắt's family circumstances are extremely difficult; even at the age of 73, she still has to care for and provide medicine to her entire family of three who are sick and disabled.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu (80 years old) - her husband - has suffered from brain atrophy since 2015, his health is weak, and he has difficulty walking. Ms. Nguyen Thuan (43 years old) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (40 years old) - her daughters - both suffer from bone and joint diseases and neurological disorders, are frail, and cannot take care of themselves.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan has suffered from a serious illness since the fourth grade, making it difficult for her to walk and forcing her to drop out of school. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa has been frail since birth. Previously, despite their illnesses and limited agility, the two sisters were still able to move around and help with housework and farm work for their parents. However, for the past 10 years, their conditions have worsened significantly.

Currently, Ms. Thuan can walk, but moving her arms and legs and performing personal activities is very difficult, requiring assistance from others. Ms. Hoa, on the other hand, is frail and unable to walk independently, confined to bed, and needs assistance to move around.

With her husband and children all suffering from illness and disease for over 10 years, despite her own frail health, Mrs. Chắt has been burdened with all the responsibilities of the family. Every day, she stays by their side, serving meals, cleaning, and looking after her husband and two children.

While feeding her children, Mrs. Chắt said with a choked voice, "When they were born, they were normal like everyone else, but as they grew older, their illnesses worsened. Before, our family tried everything, but we're poor; we struggle to even provide food, let alone money for treatment, so now we're powerless. I'm just worried about who will take care of them when they're sick and weak."

Mrs. Chắt's family is currently the poorest household in the village. The entire family consists of elderly and sick people, and they depend entirely on government assistance for their daily lives. They desperately need the support and help of the community.
