At the meeting, the two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the coming time.

The two sides agreed on five main contents in promoting bilateral cooperation; including organizing a small-scale Joint Ministerial Council meeting between the two sides in late 2015 or early 2016; ensuring the health of Cambodian workers in accordance with Thai law, and vocational training for Cambodian workers.

The issue of land and sea borders does not hinder the trade activities or interests of the two countries, and the two countries' land and sea border working groups should cooperate to bring benefits to the people of both sides but not affect the future demarcation of the border, which was also discussed by the two men.

Promoting the establishment of special economic zones to strengthen trade relations and improve the lives of people along the two countries' border; opening the S'Tung Mot and O Neang international border gates to facilitate the transit of goods and agreeing to discuss opening 4 more international border gates in the near future, also included in the above 5 contents.

According to the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, bilateral trade relations between the two countries have recently been on the rise, with total trade value increasing annually, from 4 billion USD in 2012 to 4.5 billion USD in 2013 and 5 billion USD in 2014, and the two sides are striving to reach over 5 billion USD this year./.
