The Ministry of Industry and Trade admitted that there were officials from the Export Support Center under the Trade Promotion Agency who went to the pagoda during working hours.

In response to information that an official from the Ministry of Industry and Trade went to the pagoda during working hours, on February 8, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a confirmation notice.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that when it had the above information, the Ministry's leaders asked relevant units to verify and clarify.

At 9:00 p.m. the same day, a quick report from the Department of Trade Promotion said: Through inspection, it was determined that there was an officer from the Export Support Center under the Department of Trade Promotion appearing in the news that VTV reported.

Also last night, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh asked the Trade Promotion Agency to explain the above incident and report back to the Ministry's leaders this morning, February 8, 2017.

Based on the explanation of the Trade Promotion Agency, the Ministry will consider disciplinary action against individuals and groups related to the above incident. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will announce the information as soon as possible to the press and public.

Previously, the Prime Minister "ordered" a ban on civil servants, public employees, and workers in state agencies from going to pagodas during working hours.
