In order to improve the quality and effectiveness of work in the ethnic sector, the Ethnic Council of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Ethnic Council have agreed on regulations for coordination of work based on three main principles.
Specifically, coordination activities must ensure the proper implementation of the functions, positions and tasks of the two agencies. Along with that, it is necessary to increase information exchange in the direction and operation work; create conditions to support and coordinate the implementation of the tasks of the two agencies. Finally, the implementation of coordination activities is based on a general plan built annually and in a 5-year period.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the coordination between the two agencies in the past time. That has contributed significantly to the economic - social - cultural development of ethnic minorities. However, the quality of many officials working in this field is still limited compared to practical needs. Some officials have not gone deep and closely to understand the lives of the people, have not effectively implemented and deployed the proposed policies, programs and goals.
In addition, the number of staff working in this field is still small, so many action programs have not been effective. Especially in hot issues such as illegal immigration across borders, human trafficking and other social evils...
From the shortcomings and problems, the Provincial People's Council Ethnic Committee and the Provincial Ethnic Committee have agreed on the method of action in the coming time. Specifically, promoting coordination in reviewing, building and implementing legal policies on ethnic affairs. Improving the effectiveness of monitoring and inspection activities. In particular, urgently coordinating in training and fostering cadres, exchanging and providing information and in foreign affairs to improve the lives of ethnic people in the province.
