Nghe An policy credit officers accompany people after the flood, spreading the spirit of compatriots
These days, when the impact of storm No. 3 caused heavy damage to many households in communes of the old Ky Son district (Nghe An province), the Ky Son Social Policy Bank has clearly demonstrated its role, social responsibility and affection to the community through practical and timely actions to support people to overcome difficulties.
Beautiful gesture of policy credit officer
Due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha) and the storm's circulation, Western Nghe An suffered an unprecedented flood, causing extremely serious damage to people and property. Many houses were swept away and collapsed; thousands of hectares of crops and aquaculture ponds were flooded and lost; many roads and bridges were severely damaged; many areas were deeply submerged in floodwaters, some localities were completely cut off and isolated.
In particular, the flood on the evening of July 22 left many households in the center of Muong Xen and the communes of Muong Tip, Muong Ai... (former Ky Son district) unable to react in time. Water flooded into houses, swept away trees and mud, and caused furniture to be swept away or severely damaged. After the flood receded, the localities were left with mud, wood, and damaged household items. Mud and wood from upstream piled up like mountains, making recovery work difficult.

With the spirit of mutual love, hundreds of people from the blocks and villages have voluntarily gone to the damaged areas to overcome the damage. Among them, the staff of Ky Son Social Policy Bank have always accompanied and shared with practical actions, promptly supported and warmed the hearts of the people to overcome the flood.
From July 22 to 24, 2025, Ky Son Social Policy Bank organized a campaign to support flood recovery at the headquarters of the Muong Xen Commune People's Committee and households with heavy damage. Every day, 13 officers and employees directly participated in cleaning up mud, repairing houses, and supporting people's daily life.

Not stopping there, right at the time of the flood, the unit deployed emergency support for 5 severely affected households with practical gifts including instant noodles and eggs. These are essential necessities to help people overcome the difficult times ahead.
After the flood, the agency's Union also plans to allocate about 5 million VND from the source mobilized by union members to continue to support disadvantaged families, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other" of the staff and workers in the unit.

Mr. Lo Kham Lai in Block 5 (Muong Xen Commune) - one of the households heavily affected by the flood in Muong Xen Commune shared: "The sudden flood caused my house to be deeply submerged in mud, and many household items were damaged. Thanks to the staff of Ky Son Social Policy Bank who came to help clean up and provide necessities, my family's life has temporarily stabilized."
Spread the spirit of serving the people
Notably, although the unit itself was affected by natural disasters - 3 officers had their houses flooded - with a spirit of solidarity and responsibility, all were quickly supported and stabilized their accommodation to continue working together to fulfill their duties for the community.

Mr. Ngo Minh Tu - Director of Ky Son Social Policy Bank shared: "In living conditions in rugged terrain, with frequent natural disasters, people who are already struggling are even more vulnerable. As a bank for the poor, we identify that accompanying people is not only our responsibility but also our sentiment and mission."
Under the direct leadership of Director Ngo Minh Tu and Deputy Director Phan Ba Cuong, the timely and substantial activities of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank in recent times have created a beautiful impression in the hearts of the local government and people. The unit is not only a "midwife" in terms of capital for poor households, near-poor households, and policy beneficiaries, but also a solid spiritual support for people whenever they encounter difficulties and misfortunes.

“We really thought we had run out of options. Every household was severely affected by the flood, so we didn’t know who to turn to. The staff from the Ky Son Social Policy Bank arrived in time to help our family overcome the immediate disaster. Although we know there are still many difficulties, we still feel very warm-hearted,” said Nguyen Thi Ly, a resident of Cau Tam village (Muong Xen commune) who suffered heavy damage from the flood.
The quick and compassionate intervention in this flood is a clear demonstration of the spirit of "serving the people" of Ky Son Social Policy Bank - a place that not only gives life-changing opportunities with capital, but also spreads humanistic values, solidarity and sharing in the community.
