The 2019 BMW Z4 is the "brother" of the Toyota Supra. |

But the Supra only comes in coupe form, while the Z4 only comes in roadster form. |

This puts the Z4 in the same league as the Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 718 Boxster, and Mercedes-Benz SLC. |

The Z4's engine lineup will include four-cylinder and six-cylinder units. |

The entry-level model is expected to use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with around 200 horsepower, for markets outside the US. |

In North America, the most affordable will likely also use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but with around 250 horsepower. |

A 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine will be available on higher variants. |

It is expected to come in two power ranges: 340 horsepower and 390 horsepower. |

It's not yet clear whether the Z4 will use a dual-clutch automatic transmission like the Supra, or whether the roadster will use a manual transmission. |
