Russia has deployed 210 types of weapons to the Syrian battlefield to test them and prove their power in a real war. This information was revealed by the Russian Defense Minister - Mr. Sergei Shoigu in the documentary film called "Putin" by journalist Andrei Kondrashov.

According to the top Russian military official, the Russian Armed Forces have gained enormous experience from the Syrian battlefield.

"We have tested 210 types of weapons in Syria. We have tested them alongside Syrian weapons on the battlefield. Everything we have tested - everything - I am sure, in the future will help save the lives of many people - those who will use these weapons," Mr. Shoigu emphasized.

Mr. Sergei Chemezov - head of Rostech corporation confidently affirmed that many of Russia's weapons have demonstrated superior power compared to similar versions of the US and European Union (EU).

The fierce battlefield of Syria in recent years has become a testing ground for many new Russian weapons. Moscow officials do not hide this at all.

Russian Defense Minister Shoigu once stated that while the main goal of Russia's military campaign in Syria is to prevent the collapse of its ally, this is also an opportunity for Moscow to put its new weapons to the "test fire" on a real battlefield in Syria.

Among the weapons systems tested in Syria are Su-30SM and Su-34 fighter jets; Mi-28N and Ka-52 helicopters; Kalibr cruise missiles and many other types of weapons. According to a summary given by Minister Shoigu last year, 10 out of 162 weapons tested by Russia on the Syrian battlefield up to that time revealed a number of errors that had never appeared in tests at testing sites in Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry decided to stop buying those defective weapons and asked the manufacturers to fix the errors.

Most recently, at the end of February, Russia deployed four of its most modern stealth fighters – Su-57 – to the Syrian battlefield. Russian officials later confirmed this deployment and revealed that the purpose of sending the Su-57s to Syria was to test the radar systems as well as the electronic warfare systems equipped on this most advanced fighter jet.

In addition to the goal of putting their newest fighter jet to the test on the Syrian battlefield, Russia also has another goal of promoting the capabilities of the Russian military industry by showcasing the military activities of the Russian army in Syria.

Designed by the renowned Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi, the Su-57 multi-role stealth fighter first took to the skies in 2010 but only entered production this year. As a next-generation fighter, the Su-57 is equipped with extremely sophisticated avionics systems capable of automatically assessing battlefield situations.

The Su-57 fighter jet can detect threats in the air, on the ground and at sea at ranges far beyond any modern radar system. In addition, Russia's new generation stealth fighter is also capable of attacking targets with a wide range of modern weapons, including short-range, medium-range surface-to-air and air-to-air missiles and even anti-radar missiles.

During the military campaign in Syria, Russian weapons have clearly shown their strength, showing their combat prowess and high efficiency, making many countries covet Russian weapons in their hands. As a result, Moscow is increasingly receiving contracts to buy their weapons. Notably, many traditional US weapons customers are turning to Russia.
