Close-up of Israel's new pistol 'masterpiece'

Famous for its renowned defense industry, Israel recently launched a new pistol model that meets the four ultimate criteria in combat: "effective, safe, easy to use, easy to repair".

Israel Weapons Industries (IWI) is probably quite busy with orders right now after launching its latest pistol line called MASADA. This pistol line is designed for the military, security forces and civilian market.

The new IWI model is 16.7cm long, has a 10.4cm barrel and weighs approximately 650g (excluding magazine). The body is made of a fiberglass polymer frame, the barrel is cold-forged polygonal with a twist ratio of 1:10RH. The stock, both the front and rear edges, are improved along with IWI's own grip edges, which when combined with the low-profile barrel axis will reduce recoil, significantly increasing combat effectiveness.

MASADA can be easily disassembled, equipped with a number of advanced safety mechanisms such as a safe firing lock, a trigger lock. In addition, the gun can also be equipped with a manual safety lock. The gun is designed to be used with both hands and has a 3-point reflective sight for aiming at night.

The first MASADA 9mm model will be displayed at the Defense and Security exhibition in Thailand, the Milipol exhibition in Paris (France) and Expodefensa in Colombia.

The Israeli Armaments Corporation has not yet announced the price of its new pistol line. However, the company revealed that customers will have four color options: gray, olive green, black and brown.
