To compete with Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi has just officially launched Expander 2017 - a cheap 7-seat MPV model in the Indonesian market. The car has a completely new modern design that promises to make the multi-purpose vehicle segment more exciting.
It is known that this is the mass-produced commercial version based on the XM Concept prototype that appeared last year. Mitsubishi Expander has an appearance with a characteristic radiator grille, L-shaped taillights, and sharp body lines. The front of the car is designed in Mitsubishi's new "Dynamic Shield" style, with slim headlights.

With the idea of an MPV "hybrid" SUV model specifically for Southeast Asian countries with "non-standard" road surfaces, Expander has high ground clearance and large shock absorber travel, large wheel arches and prominent ribs creating a strong SUV-like shape. The roof is designed to create a "floating" visual effect, thanks to the black part on the D-pillar.
The interior of the car is spacious, just enough for 3 rows of seats. Despite its small size, 7 people can still fit comfortably in the space of the Expander. Outstanding amenities include: smart key, touch screen entertainment screen, automatic headlights...

Mitsubishi Expander uses a new generation 1.5L MIVEC engine, front-wheel drive, combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Currently, Mitsubishi has not provided more detailed information about this car. According to predictions, if officially distributed in Vietnam, the car will be imported from Indonesia, and the price of Expander will probably be around 650 million VND like its rival Suzuki Ertiga.
