The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Directive No. 26/CT-UBND on implementing new school year tasks for the education - training and vocational education sectors.
Accordingly, based on the practical situation of the province, the Provincial People's Committee requests heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, cities and towns; Heads of educational and training institutions in the province to focus on deploying and effectively organizing the implementation of tasks and solutions on education - training and vocational education for the 2023 - 2024 school year.
Specifically, there are three breakthrough tasks and solutions. That is, it is necessary to ensure comprehensive education quality, improve education in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, and disadvantaged areas.

To do this well, it is necessary to continue to lead and direct the serious implementation of resolutions and plans on improving the quality of comprehensive education, education in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Plan to ensure the quality of general education, creating breakthroughs in fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education; implementing enhanced educational activities, building a model of operation of new-style ethnic boarding schools; models of rooms helping rooms, schools helping schools, and subject groups helping subject groups.
At the same time, continue to direct synchronous and scientific implementation.General Education Program2018; apply innovative teaching methods to ensure quality for all grades; enhance teaching of Foreign Languages, Information Technology, STEM education and life skills and safety education activities for students. In particular, it is necessary to deploy and replicate effective school models in the province; continue to research and share with localities to supplement and perfect to ensure the improvement of the quality of education in Nghe An. Direct the serious and scientific implementation of the 2018 General Education Program at the high school level for Laotian international students (expanded cooperation of the province), organize enrollment to start basic Vietnamese language training from the 2023-2024 school year.
In addition to the breakthrough tasks and solutions, the province has also proposed 8 key tasks and solutions. Notably, it is necessary to develop policies and mechanisms on education, build and re-plan the school network, ensure financial resources, facilities and teaching equipment.

During this school year, the entire education sector continues to innovate sector management and school governance, build a comprehensive educational environment, and effectively implement educational goals at each level and grade.
Regarding higher education, the province requires the completion and approval of the project to merge Nghe An Pedagogical College and Nghe An College of Culture and Arts into Nghe An University of Economics and change its name to Nghe An University. By 2045, Nghe An strives to become the training center of the North Central region and the whole country.
At the same time, resolutely direct and continue to implement solutions to improve quality and complete enrollment targets for all levels and types of training; actively attract international students to study and research at higher education institutions in the province. Synchronously implement solutions to ensure training plans, improve training quality; build and implement smart university models to meet the requirements of school modernization and training high-quality human resources to serve the needs of digital transformation.
