Border commune's stilt house caught fire at midnight

(Baonghean.vn) - At 11:20 p.m. on March 16, in Na Nieng village, Tri Le commune (Que Phong district), a fire broke out, burning down a stilt house.

When the fire broke out, the couple, Mr. Luong Cong Thang (born in 1950) and his wife, Lu Thi Tuyet (born in 1957), were not home but were living in a temporary shack on the farm.

Upon receiving the news, Tri Le Border Guard Station sent officers and soldiers to coordinate with local forces to participate in fire fighting.

However, the fire was so big that it was difficult to control the house because it was far from a water source. As a result, the fire burned down the 4-room house and some property worth about 500 million VND. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

On the morning of March 17, Tri Le Border Guard Station coordinated with local departments and agencies to visit and encourage Mr. Luong Cong Thang's family to stabilize their lives.
