(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 5, 2014, National Assembly delegates: Mr. Tran Van Hang - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV; and Mr. Pham Van Ha - Chief Justice of the People's Court of Nghe An province, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, met with voters in Dong Van commune, Que Phong district.

At the beginning of the meeting with constituents, Representative Nguyen Sy Hoi informed the voters of Dong Van commune about the agenda of the 7th session. Accordingly, the National Assembly will consider and approve 10 draft laws and 2 resolutions; and provide opinions on 18 draft laws at this session.

At the conference, voters in Dong Van commune raised issues related to compensation, support, and resettlement for the Hua Na hydropower project. Voters requested that Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company promptly prepare land allocation and land use conversion documents, develop land reclamation plans, and allocate paddy land to the people in the four resettlement areas of Dong Van commune; pay compensation to 125 households in Pieng Pung village; and approve and pay compensation for assets on community land in Na Chao and Pieng Van villages. They also requested that damage to public works, especially water supply facilities, be repaired. In addition, voters in Dong Van commune also requested that the authorities implement policies to create jobs for people in the resettlement areas, such as transferring scientific and technical knowledge, providing training, and facilitating career changes to help people stabilize their lives.
