Need to review and clarify savings in many areas

Based on the Draft Report on the results of thrift practice and waste prevention in 2018 and tasks for 2019 presented by the Department of Finance, meeting participants raised many issues.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Viet Duong suggested that the Department of Finance should review and clarify the savings in regular spending in state administrative agencies and public service units; management of public assets, including land, vehicles, equipment; savings in investment management, including consumption.

Pointing out the current situation of organizing many meetings and conferences at the provincial level, Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Hoa suggested that the province should study to "integrate" provincial meetings and conferences to avoid wasting time and travel for localities.
In addition, the Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Council also said that the organization of festivals in localities is currently causing waste; therefore, it is necessary to rearrange and reorganize, only organizing festivals that are converging, spreading, unique, and attract the attention of tourists.

Some opinions also proposed solutions to combat waste in the use of health insurance funds; waste in the use of counterfeit and fake goods; and at the same time effectively implement Resolution 6 of the Central Committee (term XII) to reorganize the apparatus and streamline the payroll, reduce expenses for the apparatus and people.
Concluding this content, in addition to requesting the Department of Finance to accept the opinions of the delegates to supplement the report, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Le Hong Vinh also emphasized that in the report, it is necessary to clearly state which agencies and units are not serious in practicing thrift and fighting waste, and avoid stating in general terms.

Regarding some reports and drafts related to the budget, the Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the Department of Finance to review and compare the data to ensure accuracy; at the same time, it is necessary to develop a plan to use the budget to compensate for the budget deficit, avoiding the situation where each locality uses it in a different way or does it wrongly; pay attention to arranging the budget to overcome environmental protection for some areas and localities that are greatly affected.
During the remaining time of the review, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council also reviewed the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council approving the investment policy for the project to upgrade and expand Binh Minh road and a number of routes in Cua Lo town.
