The price of live pigs has increased, causing pork to increase as well. Currently, pork belly in Yen Thanh is sold for 75,000 VND/kg, pork butt is 90,000 - 95,000 VND/kg...

Mr. Anh and his wife added: Up to this point, although the price of cows and tamarinds has not increased, there is a shortage of goods and it is difficult to buy, and it is expected that the price will increase during Tet. To proactively source goods for slaughtering and selling for Tet, Mr. Anh and his wife bought 10 cows and tamarinds a month ago.

In Vinh City, the price of live pigs fluctuates from 48,000 - 50,000 VND/kg. This price has increased sharply compared to the beginning of the month, at only 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg.

Due to the increase in the price of live pigs, the price of finished pork products has also increased significantly. Specifically, lean pork loin costs from 120,000 - 130,000 VND/kg, pork belly costs 100,000 VND/kg...

In recent years, some people tend to choose specialty foods for the end of the year such as goat, black pig, wild boar, free-range chicken... Therefore, this is also the time when specialty breeders can easily sell their products at higher prices.

Mr. Le Van Tri, a goat farmer in Dien Kim commune (Dien Chau) shared: A month ago, the price of commercial goats was 120,000 VND/kg but now it has increased to 140,000 - 150,000 VND/kg and shows no signs of stopping. Households that raise a lot of goats sell 7 - 10 goats during this time for an income of tens of millions of VND.
