Beware of hair salon scammers!
(Baonghean.vn) - At the end of the year, services increase and this is also the time for "fraud" to "reign". In addition to selling fake, counterfeit, and low-quality goods, even hairdressing services are... being scammed.
The university market located in Vinh city - Nghe An has about a dozen hair salons. At rush hour and on holidays, not only female students but also mothers and sisters living in the nearby area compete to go beautify themselves for the so-called "human corner". Especially at the end of the year, in addition to the need to shop, "touching up" one's beauty to welcome the new year is understandable.
Ms. Huong, the owner of a hair salon in the university market, said in a sad voice: “Looking at that girl's gentle face, who would have thought she was tricking me. She came to my shop to dye her hair, when she arrived she brought a bag of clothes, I applied dye to her hair, covered her head, while waiting for the dye to color, she asked permission to go eat a little. After waiting for a long time and she didn't come back, I knew I was tricked, so I opened the bag of clothes she left. It turned out to be all rags.”
Ms. Ly and her story.
Seeing Ms. Huong telling the customer, Ms. Ly at the shop next door also could not hide her anger, asking only to find out that Ms. Ly had just been scammed today. The story was that from morning until now, she had had 2 customers come to straighten their hair, the second customer when coming brought a box of Hao Hao instant noodles, sealed and brand new. After working hard all morning to straighten both ends, when finished, they also asked to go eat and then come back to dye. Thinking that sitting doing hair all morning made them hungry, Ms. Ly agreed to let them go. When leaving, the customer kept reminding her: Be careful not to step on my instant noodle box. Then, the hair was "straightened" for 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours without a return. The people around started to mention being scammed, Ms. Ly even consoled herself, anyway, there was still the instant noodle box, so she might as well take it home to eat. But when she opened the box, she did not see Hao Hao but only saw slag (used honeycomb coal). She could only sigh in frustration for a day of unpaid work.
“I have only heard of people being tricked into selling across the border, of people being scammed for money, of people appropriating property, but I have never seen people being tricked into getting their hair done. I have wasted my time from morning till now,” said Ms. Ly.
The hair salon owners in the market also confirmed that the customers who come here are mainly students, seeing all the "baby-faced" faces, they trust them, but they did not expect it. This is not a very serious incident, but it is showing the moral degradation of a part of today's youth.
