Be careful with things that can explode in the refrigerator
Refrigerators are a familiar food preservation device for families. However, not all foods and drinks are safe to put inside it. Because they can explode even if your refrigerator has no quality problems or circuit damage.
Here are three items that are considered "dangerous" if placed in the freezer.
1. Carbonated drinks

Carbonated drinks can become a “bomb” if you store them in the wrong place in the refrigerator. Carbonated drinks generally contain carbon dioxide. When frozen, the water in the drink crystallizes, leaving only a small space for the carbon dioxide particles. At freezing temperatures, they expand, and because the space in the container is small, they create high pressure. The can can explode when it cannot hold the pressure.
2. Dry ice

Like carbonated drinks, dry ice is essentially a solid form of carbon dioxide. Typically, dry ice is used to create a foggy effect by soaking it in water so that the solid carbon dioxide turns into a gas (a process called sublimation).
However, in a freezer with a temperature lower than -18 degrees Celsius, the sublimation of dry ice is accelerated very quickly as carbon dioxide expands 600 to 800 times from its solid form. Besides, you also need to pay attention to another safety principle: avoid handling dry ice with bare hands because it will risk serious paralysis. So, use gloves or rubber tongs when handling dry ice and store it in a styrofoam container or insulated cooler.
3. Alcohol and flammable liquids
Alcoholic drinks can be kept in the fridge, but only in the fridge, not the freezer. Be especially careful while these drinks are sealed, as they can build up pressure and explode.

Other notes:
- Regarding safety when using the refrigerator, you should not place any electronic devices on the refrigerator. Because different temperatures and electronic waves will damage your device.
- Never try to scrape ice from the freezer with a sharp object. The coolant in the refrigerator is isobutane gas, which is flammable. If you accidentally leak this gas with a sharp object, it could explode.
