According to the report of the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee, up to this point, the preparations for the congress have been basically completed. The draft political report of the congress has been developed and organized to collect opinions from the grassroots level of the Association to the district level and provincial departments and branches, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the activities of the Provincial Farmers' Association and proposing directions, tasks and key solutions for the next 5-year term.

At the meeting, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors contributed ideas to the program and content of the 9th Provincial Farmers' Association Congress, term 2018 - 2023.

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee said that, based on the guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Provincial Farmers' Union has prepared personnel and the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee has given opinions and proposed a list of some unqualified personnel.

Accordingly, the number of Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term IX, includes 45 people; the Standing Committee includes 13 members and up to this point, the congress's personnel work has ensured proper implementation of the prescribed procedures, structure and standards.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee also said that although the propaganda work before the congress had been intensive, it was not deep and broad, so from now until the congress, the Provincial Farmers' Association needs to focus highly on this activity.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the preparation of the Provincial Farmers' Association for the congress on the basis of closely following the directions of the Central and Provincial Party Committee to carry out the steps in accordance with procedures and regulations, ensuring quality.

Emphasizing the role and position of the Farmers' Association and the farmers' force on the agricultural, rural and new rural construction fronts, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Farmers' Association to focus on building a political report for the congress with a practical summary mindset to draw lessons and clearly define the direction of the next term, in which it is necessary to clearly identify the highlights and breakthroughs to continue promoting the tradition of Nghe An farmers, proactively integrating, improving the material and spiritual life of people in rural areas.

Along with that, the Provincial Farmers' Association also needs to pay attention to promoting propaganda work before, during and after the congress, creating a spreading influence and spiritual motivation to promote the implementation of goals and tasks in the new term.
