Tuan Loc Group's port in Nghe An is preparing to be put into operation.
(Baonghean.vn) - Wharf No. 5 and No. 6 of Cua Lo Port, invested by Tuan Loc Joint Stock Company, is a key project of Nghe An, under construction day and night to be put into operation in August 2017.

At the construction site of wharfs 5 and 6 of Cua Lo Port, despite the hot weather, there are always over 200 officers and workers from 5 companies from Hai Phong, Saigon, and Nghe An working day and night to shorten the construction time by 3 months.

This project is invested by Tuan Loc Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, with a capacity to accommodate ships with a tonnage of 30,000DWT. It is a port specializing in containers, so the investment and construction techniques are very high.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang, commander of the project of wharfs No. 5 and No. 6, said: The whole unit is determined to complete the project by August 2017. The pile part with 647 piles has been completed on a total area of 22,500m2.2. Each pile is driven 35m - 38m deep. The longitudinal and transverse beams on the wharf are currently being accelerated with 1/2 of the area. The container yard has 100% completed foundation, and is being paved with high-strength concrete blocks. The wharf and yard are designed according to the Saigon New Port model.

The investor, Tuan Loc Group, has spent VND221 billion on the items. Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Director of Cua Lo Port Company Limited said: This is a BOT investment project, including berths 5 and 6 and the Cua Lo Port logistics area with a total area of 23.4 hectares. The wharf is 450m long and 40m wide, capable of receiving 2 ships with a capacity of 30,000 tons at the same time. In addition, the port's logistics area has a 9.5ha cargo yard, a 1.1ha container yard, a 3ha CFS warehouse, etc.
The total investment for the two phases is 1,180 billion VND and the project implementation period is 1 year. Once completed and put into use, the project will increase the throughput capacity of Cua Lo Port.

According to the commitment with the province, the project was completed in November 2017, but now the investor is determined to put the project into operation in August 2017. Currently, Cua Lo port can only accommodate ships of over 10,000 tons, Tuan Loc port can accommodate ships of over 30,000 tons, which is a breakthrough in improving the competitiveness of Cua Lo port of Nghe An, while supporting investors in transporting goods and contributing to socio-economic development.
