Kerch Strait Tensions: EU Fails to Agree on Sanctions
EU countries are currently unable to agree on the application of new sanctions related to the events around the Sea of Azov.

On December 10, negotiations between EU foreign ministers will take place in Brussels. Accordingly, on the sidelines of this conference, there will be an intimate lunch with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin.
"There was discussion of the situation in the Sea of Azov, but no mention of sanctions. Some countries wanted to raise this issue, while others did not," the source said.
"At the moment, there is no agreement among the 28 countries on what to do in the Sea of Azov to reduce tensions, try to promote dialogue between the two sides and make decisions, in other words, to agree on measures to support Ukraine and send some strong signals. Because, if each country comes to the meeting with its proposal, and the others do not support it, what signal will we send? " - the source said in response to the question, whether there is a plan to discuss sanctions after the events around the Kerch Strait.
