Recently, some businesses have received fake invitations from tax authorities.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Head of Song Lam 1 Tax Department said that the Department often receives feedback from a number of businesses in the area about receiving invitations from the Department to work. According to the businesses, the invitations include a note that before working, the business household or business must declare taxes electronically on the attached links or websites.
Mr. Thanh added: Because businesses regularly connect with tax authorities, when they receive such invitations, they often call the Department back to verify, so no consequences have occurred. However, the Department still seriously warns businesses by sending such fake invitations to tax authority groups and business groups on social networks to raise awareness.

This situation also appears in some other branches and in the General Department of Taxation.
The method of fraud can be when businesses declare on strange links or strange websites, information will be leaked, or the scammers will gradually entice and carry out the next tricks based on the business's fear and lack of understanding (if any).
Some citizens also said that even though they moved to another region, their tax codes were still used to declare personal income tax for certain businesses.
Faced with this situation, Nghe An Provincial Tax Department announces the fraud methods of the above subjects so that taxpayers can grasp and be vigilant, avoiding falling into traps.
The Tax Department continuously propagates warnings about the situation of impersonating tax officials and tax authorities to commit acts of fraud against taxpayers.
