Police stop gang in 6 cars carrying knives and guns
On July 29, Tien Giang Province Police said they had just stopped and arrested dozens of people carrying weapons in many cars on Rach Mieu Bridge.
Before that, at around 1:15 a.m., when it was raining heavily, many people traveling through Rach Mieu Bridge saw Tien Giang Police stopping many cars with suspicious signs.
Many people in the cars fled but were surrounded by traffic police, criminal police, and mobile police, arresting a total of 31 subjects.
Quickly searching the 6 cars involved, the police seized many items of evidence such as guns, switchblades, and pepper spray. The group said they had just resolved a conflict and were on their way back to Ben Tre when they were arrested.
The case is still under investigation.
