After forgetting where he parked his car, a German man didn't expect it would take him 20 years to find it again.

According to the Daily Mail, in 1997, a man absentmindedly left his car in Frankfurt. That was when Titanic was still in theaters. He reported the car stolen to the police when he couldn't find it.

However, 20 years later the car was found exactly where he had left it. According to Augsberger Allegemein, a garage even had to stop its demolition plan because of the car, so the police decided to find the owner.

The owner of the car is now 76 years old. Unfortunately, after 20 years, his car is no longer running and will be sent to the scrap yard.

In early 2017, another man from Scotland also left his car in a stadium parking lot for six months and no trace was found until police pinpointed the exact spot where he had parked his car.

To "compensate" for his absent-mindedness, this car owner had to pay a parking fee of 5,000 pounds (nearly 150 million VND).
