Traffic police traveled hundreds of kilometers to arrest drug possession subject
(Baonghean.vn) - The drug possession subject was suddenly arrested by traffic police officers.
On January 29, the Ho Chi Minh Road Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province said: At 8:00 a.m. on January 28, they received a report from the public in Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town, that there was a young man showing signs of suspected drug-related crimes.

Immediately afterwards, the Ho Chi Minh Road Traffic Police Team asked for the opinion of the PC08 Department leader and sent 3 officers to travel more than 100 km from the unit's base in Nghia Dung Commune, Tan Ky District to the reporting location in Cua Lo Town to carry out the task.
Through verifying information, monitoring and ambushing until about 10:30 a.m. the same day (January 28), at Hai Trieu block, Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town - the working group discovered a young man with characteristics exactly as reported.
Immediately, this young man was arrested. The subject confessed his name was Nguyen Van Linh (born in 1989, residing in Hai Lam block, Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town).
Through a quick search, the Working Group discovered that Linh was storing 5 small packages of white powder. The subject admitted that it was heroin weighing 0.55 grams that he bought for use.
The working group has drawn up a record, completed the initial file and handed over the subject and evidence to Cua Lo Town Police for further investigation.
