Criminal police were slashed while arresting a group that staged a car crash to steal.
Three men armed themselves with pig-stabbing knives and staged a car crash on the street to steal the pig. When surrounded by police, they drew their weapons and fought back, injuring a criminal police officer.
On the afternoon of March 9, the Criminal Police Department (Hanoi Police) detained Pham Van Thang (50 years old), Nguyen Quang Thanh (52 years old) and Bui Minh Duong (40 years old) to investigate the acts of Theft of property and Resisting a person on duty.

According to the investigation, the police recently received reports of several street robberies. The criminals often traveled in large numbers and staged car crashes to commit the crimes. The Criminal Police Department has established a special project to monitor the situation.
At noon on March 8, a group of suspects brought 3 pig-stabbing knives, drove 3 motorbikes, and roamed the streets looking for vulnerable people, staging a car crash to commit the crime.
At the intersection of Lieu Giai - Dao Tan (Ba Dinh district), they discovered Ms. Hang riding a scooter with a handbag (containing 5 million VND) hanging in front of her, stopped at a red light, so they approached her.

Thang and Thanh approached Ms. Hang's car on both sides, Duong drove his car into the back of the victim's vehicle. When the girl turned around, Thanh quickly stole the bag and sped away.
At this time, the police force in disguise launched a chase. After a few minutes, Thanh and Duong were arrested with the evidence. Thang pulled out a knife to fight back, injuring a detective before being knocked down.
According to an investigator, all three suspects have multiple criminal records for Resisting Law Enforcement Officers, Possessing Drugs, and Theft of Property.
