Police opened fire and arrested more than 30 'speed demons'
Being surrounded and captured, many young people raced and ran away, rushing straight at the police, forcing them to fire warning shots.
More than 30 people aged 18-25 living in Binh Son, Tu Nghia, Duc Pho districts and Quang Ngai city made an appointment to gather at My Khe beach and Hoang Sa street - the section passing through Tinh Khe commune torace, early morning of July 17. While competing in speed, they shouted, revved their engines, and made a ruckus in the whole area.
More than 10 traffic police and criminal police of Quang Ngai city appeared later to surround and arrest the "speed demons". The group of "speed demons" ran away in all directions, rushing into the task force.

8 young men were subdued and taken to the police station along with 25 motorbikes. The remaining people have appeared and worked with the police today. Quang Ngai City Police are investigating the crime and may prosecute the case.
Hoang Sa Street on the North bank of Tra Khuc River, stretching from Tra Khuc 2 Bridge to My Khe Beach, is 23 meters wide, with many sections sparsely populated and deserted.
A week ago, also here, Quang Ngai City Police arrested about 20 teenagers for illegally racing.
