To ensure traffic safety and order for traffic participants on the streets, from early afternoon, hundreds of officers were on duty at main roads in Vinh City.
When people poured into the streets to watch the match at public places, the police comrades assigned to the task regularly monitored the area, reminded traffic participants to stay in the correct lane, wear helmets, and not to weave in and out of traffic or carry more people than the prescribed number.
Major Nguyen Van Dao, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Police, said: To ensure security and order before and after the final match, the Provincial Police mobilized maximum forces, with 100% of the Traffic Police, Mobile Police, and City Police mobilized.

The home team won, but the flow of people onto the streets grew larger and larger. The provincial police leaders added more forces to block and clear traffic jams; immediately restraining the swerving actions of some overzealous youths.
Tonight will be another sleepless night not only for fans who are taking to the streets to "storm", but the authorities will also have a sleepless night to ensure the safety of fans participating in traffic.
