Police arrest 2 people carrying 26 kg of drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam
The largest amount of drugs ever discovered in An Giang was brought by two men from Cambodia to Saigon for consumption.

After many days of ambush, on the afternoon of April 13, the An Giang Provincial Police and Border Guard coordinated with the Anti-Drug Police Department (C04, Ministry of Public Security) to stop the car carrying Trinh Cong Nghia (41 years old) carrying Du Quoc Cuong (29 years old) at the border of An Phu district, discovering 25,000 ecstasy pills (8.2 kg) and 18.2 kg of crystal meth. This is the largest amount of drugs ever seized in An Giang.
Cuong (residing in Khanh Hoa province) admitted to transporting drugs for hire for a person named Phuong (unknown background) from Cambodia to Saigon for consumption.
Previously, An Giang Provincial Police discovered a drug ring carrying a huge amount of drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam, so they set up a special project to destroy it. Initially, Cuong was determined to be the ringleader of this ring.
