Police arrest 4 subjects illegally trading in wild animals
(Baonghean.vn) - When surrounded and arrested, these subjects fought back fiercely, driving straight into the police car in an attempt to escape.
At 12:00 noon on January 19, at Sao Viet Hotel (Block 2, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City), the Environmental Police Department, Nghe An Police caught 4 subjects in the act of illegally buying and selling wild animals.

The four arrested subjects include: Nguyen Van Chien (born in 1992, residing in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh); Hoang Van Son (born in 1979, residing in hamlet 9, Quynh Thanh commune, Quynh Luu); Ho Trung Son (born in 1974, residing in Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu) and Phan Phuong (born in 1979, residing in Quynh Thanh commune, Quynh Luu district).
At the time of arrest, these subjects were driving a pickup truck with license plate 37C - 258.60 carrying 13 live monkeys and 2 live langurs, with a total weight of 48kg.
During a search of the car, the police also seized many fake license plates. The subjects also installed a fan in the back of the pickup truck to preserve live animals.

Hoang Van Son was the driver of the pickup truck. When he was discovered by the police, Son fought back fiercely, driving straight into the police car in an attempt to escape.
When surrounded by police, the subjects locked the car doors, forcing the police to break the glass to control and arrest them.
During the investigation, the police determined that the above wild animals belonged to Phan Phuong, transported from Huong Son, Ha Tinh to Vinh City to sell for profit.

An investigator from the Environmental Police Department said that these are people who specialize in buying and selling wild animals. The unit spent many months following them before catching them red-handed.
Currently, the case is being investigated and handled by the Environmental Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
