The Vinh City Police Department's Investigation Police Agency said that the unit has just prosecuted and issued a temporary detention order for the accused Nguyen Huu Tuan (born in 1977, residing in Hamlet 10, Thanh Duong Commune, Thanh Chuong District) to investigate the crime of "Illegal buying, selling and transporting of narcotics".

Nguyen Huu Tuan is one of the important links in the chain of buying and transporting crystal meth from Thanh Chuong to Vinh City for consumption.
Tuan had a previous conviction for theft. After being released from prison, he returned to his hometown to work as a taxi driver. Taking advantage of his job of regularly transporting passengers to various locations, Tuan quickly connected with local drug dealers to transport drugs.
On January 26, the Task Force received important information that Tuan was preparing to make a new transaction, so they planned to crack the case.
At around 6:10 p.m. on January 26, 2019, Tuan drove into the Shanghai Hotel in Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City. Task forces quickly approached the area. A few minutes later, Tuan walked out of the hotel with a bag in hand.

Detectives raided and arrested Tuan. Searching the scene, the task force seized 2 kg of crystal meth and a black car.
Tuan confessed that because he worked as a taxi driver, he became acquainted with some people involved in drugs. From then on, instead of transporting passengers, Tuan was hired by the subjects to transport drugs. With 2 kg of drugs in hand, Tuan agreed to carry them for a stranger.
