Through the investigation and reconnaissance work, the task force determined that Tran Thi Ly was extremely cunning, and she had prepared many ways to deal with the police if she was discovered. Specifically, to conduct drug transactions at home, Ly organized the construction of a solid concrete fence around the house, creating a solid bunker that was very difficult to access. In addition, around the house, the subject installed many high-definition cameras with infrared rays to illuminate at night. In the house, there were many fierce dogs, ready to attack if they detected strangers breaking in. Notably, regarding drugs, Ly divided them into many small bags, hid them in many different places, and only kept enough drugs when someone ordered them.

At around 8:00 p.m. on May 13, 2021, when Tran Thi Ly was trading drugs, the detectives suddenly arrived. In a panic, Ly managed to put the package of drugs in her hand into her mouth and swallowed it down her stomach. Faced with the act of swallowing a plastic package containing drugs into her stomach, the task force decided to bring the subject to the investigation agency to fight.

At the investigation agency, Ly initially refused to admit her crime. It was only when the investigation agency coordinated with Yen Thanh District General Hospital to "eviscerate" the subject and confiscated a package of drugs containing 47 synthetic drug pills that the subject bowed her head and admitted her guilt. It is known that Tran Thi Ly had a previous conviction for gambling.
