Vietnam's 'Robotic Arm for the Disabled' Wins Third Prize at International Science and Technology Competition
On the morning of May 20, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Le Thi Huong - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province happily informed that Pham Huy, author of the project "robotic arm for the disabled" won the third prize at the International Science and Technology Competition held in the US. This is the highest prize of the Vietnamese delegation.
According to Ms. Huong, this information was also confirmed by the Ministry of Education and Training. Among the 5 prizes that the Vietnamese delegation was awarded by the Organizing Committee of the International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) 2017 in the early morning of May 20 (Vietnam time), Pham Huy, an 11th grade student at Quang Tri High School, Quang Tri Province - the author of the work "robot arm" excellently won the third prize.

Through a short conversation via social media call on the morning of May 20, Pham Huy said he was very happy because his “robot arm” work was awarded third prize. “This is the highest prize among the five prizes that the Vietnamese delegation received from the Organizing Committee of the International Science and Technology Competition, so I am very happy.”
Before that, during the award ceremony, in his hometown of Quang Tri, Pham Huy's relatives and teachers could not hide their happiness when they heard Vietnam's name being called while watching the award ceremony live on social networks. After his name was called, Huy's face appeared on the screen, smiling happily, quickly walking towards the award podium, standing shoulder to shoulder with outstanding faces from other countries.
It is known that Huy's family received a call from Huy in the US to inform the family of the good news, even though they already knew the award their son won.
