After winning 5 Gold medals in Latin dance for children and 1 Silver medal at the Thanh Hoa Open Sports Dance Championship, Truong Huy and Tra My continue to practice hard like many other dance sport couples in the class.

At the practice field, watching each powerful yet graceful and rhythmic dance step and turn to the vibrant music combined with the innocent and natural faces of the "golden" dance sport couple makes the audience unable to take their eyes off. Looking at the turns and coordination, few people would have guessed that the two children Truong Huy and Tra My have only been familiar with dance sport for about a year.

Watching her son's every dance step, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Truong Huy's mother, confided that her family had just let him learn dance sport nearly a year ago. Actually, Truong Huy came to dance sport by chance.

Previously, the family let the child participate in extracurricular activities such as drawing and martial arts. The initial decision to let Truong Huy learn dance was to help him be more flexible when practicing martial arts. “The family chose dance sport partly because it forces the practitioner to use the dexterity of all parts of the body, thereby helping to increase the practitioner's mobility as well as increase health endurance. After a period of studying, Huy gradually became interested and loved dance sport, so from here the family invested deeply in his interests,” Ms. Thao confided.

Regarding the future development path, Ms. Thao said that she will consider it depending on her child's ability. Because her family always believes in never following trends but wants to let her child be exposed to many options before finding a passion to pursue in the future.

If Truong Huy came to dance sport by chance, Tra My had guidance from her mother. Ms. Hoang Thanh Nga, Tra My's mother, said that My started to get acquainted with dances since she was 4 years old. The family let Tra My learn belly dancing for nearly 3 years before transferring her to dance sport.

Ms. Nga confessed, “It is true that I am very passionate and love dance sport, and I know the benefits that this art form brings to children, so I registered my child to try it. When letting my child learn dance sport, my family did not expect her to win this or that award, but only wanted her to have good health and practice patience through each lesson and each dance step. Fortunately, My showed her love and talent in this subject.”

As the person who directly trained and guided the two children through their first dance steps, Mr. Hoang Dang Bao, a dance sport teacher with many years of experience, said that Truong Huy and Tra My's achievements in the dance sport competition in Thanh Hoa were the highest achievements in the Nghe An delegation. Previously, the two children won bronze medals at the National Youth Championship and the Open Dance Sport Cup 2017, one of the three major, prestigious dance sport tournaments in Vietnam.

Commenting on the children, "Both Tra My and Truong Huy have talent. Tra My has been learning to dance since she was a child, so she is better than Truong Huy, but in return, Huy is very hard-working and practices diligently. Huy often arrives early and asks the teacher the most questions," said Mr. Bao. According to Mr. Bao, when participating in the tournament, due to psychological pressure, the children have not yet developed their full potential as when practicing at home./.
