Drug Addicted Couple Commits Series of Motorcycle Thefts

According to the investigation results, at the end of November 2017, Phung and Nhi went to Nui Sam ward (Chau Doc city) to live as vagrants. Because they had no job and were addicted to drugs, Phung asked Nhi to go steal a motorbike. To do so, at around 11:30 p.m. on December 11, 2017, Phung and Nhi walked from Nui Sam ward to the center of Chau Doc city to find a motorbike to steal.
When they arrived at group 6 (Chau Thoi 3 hamlet, Chau Phu B ward), they both discovered a motorbike with license plate 69C1 - 407.93 parked in front of a house with no one guarding it. At this time, Nhi stood outside on the road to watch Phung come and steal the motorbike.
At around 1:30 a.m. the next morning (December 12, 2017), while Phung was driving Nhi to find a place to sell the car, he was arrested by the Chau Doc City Police Special Task Force.
At the investigation agency, Phung and Nhi confessed that, in addition to the theft of the above motorbike, from December 5 to 10, the two subjects also stole 7 other motorbikes in Chau Doc city.
In addition, Phung and Nhi also admitted to stealing two other motorbikes in Dong Thap province. It is known that Phung had a previous conviction for "Robbery" and was released from prison in 2017. Nhi, who has a small child, was released on bail to continue the investigation.
