A couple in Nghe An arranged the sale of drugs for a client who ordered them from Hai Phong.
(Baonghean.vn) - To obtain drugs for sale, Nhung took a bus up to the mountainous district of Que Phong to buy the "goods." The woman, who had a previous conviction for "Harboring Prostitution," calculated that she would pocket 80 million VND if this business deal went through. In this case, Hoi was considered Nhung's right-hand man.
On September 23, the Nghe An Provincial People's Court held a first-instance criminal trial to hear the case against defendants Lu Van Hoi (born in 1990) and Lo Thi Nhung (born in 1983), both residing in Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, for the crime of "illegally trading narcotics".
Around the end of February 2019, a man called Lu Van Hoi to get acquainted, introducing himself as Dung (from Hai Phong City). Five days later, Dung called Hoi and asked, "Is there anyone selling drugs in Nghe An? I need to buy some." Hoi replied that he didn't know, but "if you come here, I'll take you."

In early March, Dung went to Nghe An province and met Hoi in Ban village, Chau Phong commune. At the meeting point, Hoi took Dung to Lo Thi Nhung's house. At Nhung's house, Dung proposed buying 1 kg of methamphetamine and 4 packets of ecstasy for 180 million VND. Hoi and Nhung agreed.
On April 3rd, Nhung took 100 million VND and traveled by bus to Que Phong district, where she met a Hmong man to inquire about buying drugs. The man quoted a price of 160 million VND for 1 kg of methamphetamine and 4 packets of ecstasy pills. Nhung negotiated the price down to 100 million VND, which he agreed to.
After purchasing the drugs, Nhung informed Hoi that she had the "goods" and promised to pay him 20 million VND as a commission. Hoi then called Dung to arrange a meeting place and time for the drug handover.
At approximately 7 PM on April 5th, after determining that Hoi was standing at a crossroads in Dong Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town, Nhung took the drugs to the meeting point and handed them over to Hoi. When the two had walked about 50 meters, they were caught red-handed by the Thai Hoa Town Police, who seized 1114.44 grams of Methamphetamine.
In court, both admitted to the crime. Regarding the money used to buy drugs, Nhung stated that she had saved it up.
It is known that in 2012, Lo Thi Nhung was sentenced by the An Duong District People's Court, Hai Phong City, to 6 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of "Harboring prostitution".
After a comprehensive review of the case, the panel of judges sentenced Lo Thi Nhung to life imprisonment and Lu Van Hoi to 20 years in prison for the crime of "illegally trading in narcotics".
